#PLANUARY INTENTIONS

#PLANUARY INTENTIONS

Today has been full of intentions… I really wanted to take the time to sit down with a cup of tea and give myself the time and the space to think about this fully to set myself up for the year… technology and life (car repairs costing a fortune and my computer not working are the fun headlines), meant that my day has been… interesting! My head isn’t in the right place for a lovely calm session planning my intentions for the year.

But as I write this… covered in a blanket and using an iPad as my laptop has firmly told me to leave it alone… I am thinking that maybe this is all a bit serendipitous!

I, like so many of my small business owner friends, am VERY hard on myself. I expect nothing less than perfection most of the time… it’s unsustainable and also, benefits no one! The last year has taught us all that we aren’t as ‘in control’ as we thought we were... and I have embraced that (not always with a smile) but I have tried.

Without turning this in to a full blown journal entry, I thought I would leave you all with this, my overarching intention is to launch my home wares brand this year, this has been possible because I stopped giving myself such a hard time and allowed myself the space to see what I was capable of, without the fear of failure. Coming out of a year of pivots, I feel relatively hopeful that no matter how 2021 turns out, I will give it my best in whatever way that may be.

My intentions for 2021

  1. Invest in myself and my business

  2. Trust and believe in myself

  3. Stop fearing failure... there is no ‘end game’, it’s all learnings

  4. Enjoy the process

And here is a shot to remind me, what happens when you believe in yourself and invest in your business and other fantastic businesses to help yours succeed too… Photography & styling by Luma Content.

I’ll see you back here tomorrow for some more #planuary
